HourJar

Terms of Use

Last updated October 27, 2026

HourJar is a free tool to help you keep track of the hours you work and the money you're owed. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Free to use

HourJar is free. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or ads.

It's a personal record, not payroll

The numbers in HourJar are estimates based on what you enter. They don't include taxes, deductions, overtime rules, tips or anything else your employer may apply. HourJar is not payroll, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not proof of hours worked. If your pay looks wrong, check with your employer or a qualified advisor.

Your data

Your data is yours. HourJar keeps a copy in your account, which we do our best to keep safe and available but can't guarantee. Keep a CSV export if a copy matters to you. See the Privacy Policy for how account data is handled.

Acceptable use

Don't try to reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app. Apple's standard licence terms for App Store apps also apply.

No warranty

HourJar is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using the app, including mistakes in calculations or lost data.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms.
